Executive Team

Technology Lead:

We are looking for a Technology Lead to operate as a founding member of our executive team  fine-tuning strategy and tactics, to meet our business goals. You will provide hands on IT development, helping to build the product MVP before the company progresses out of early stages. You will advise on early technical hires and provide sound leadership in all aspects of this early-stage education SAAS company. You will communicate with employees, stakeholders and customers to ensure our company’s technologies are operating appropriately. You will have experience in education and financial technology, e-commerce, and a strong knowledge base in blockchain technologies. You are someone who can build and scale the growth of our product, initiate and operate customer support services, and scale up the infrastructure as we grow. You will assist in the appointments of future UX/ UI designers, front-end and back-end engineers. You are level-headed, extremely technical but maintain a strong curiosity for new disruptive technologies. Responsibilities:

  • Assist company in developing its MVP

  • Responsible for product implementation, activation, and satisfaction/performance metrics

  • Help conduct market research to define new product priorities and run testing program

  • Manages both high-level strategy and small details to deliver quality product

  • Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives (IT, Marketing, Sales, Finance etc.)

  • Develop and integrate staffing programs designed to attract the highest caliber of talent satisfying needs of our customers and employees

  • Provide leadership to those under command so that they might take more initiatives in their roles

  • Write and submit reports to the CEO in all matters of importance

  • Ensure all program initiative align with the company’s core values and culture

  • Monitors key e-commerce KPIs and collaborate with product team to test into revenue-producing improvement

 

Skills and attributes 

  • Will possess the skills necessary to recommend what technology solutions works best for the business, as well as overseeing the integration and management of various systems, including but not limited to hardware, software and mobile technology

  • Role flexibility, willingness to do hands on work, as the business grows, and more managerial work as the company evolves

  • Extensive background in technology security, and designing scalable, user-friendly solutions for desktop and mobile devices

  • Ability to evaluate multiple technologies and identify those that are the best fit for the business. Technology selection should come from a deep understanding, a long-term vision and playing to the strengths of the team rather than trends.

Requirements

  • Experience managing multiple projects while communicating with the development team and other business units

  • He/she is able to identify and attract developers that aren’t just gifted but will help shape the culture of the business; must also have a sense for when an employee is not working out

  • Strong with budgeting and business-planning

  • Understanding of limitations but an ability to identify experts to fill gaps

  • Naturally understands the needs of the customer and focuses on creating products that are customer centric

  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field; MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus

Highly Desirable Traits:

  • Start-up experience

  • Experienced in e-commerce and education technology

  • Experience collaborating with offshore and external vendors

  • Staffing experience

  • Global customer service support experience

  • Strong IT security background

  • Extensive video telecommunication experience

  • Intuitive knowledge of social media landscape (design centric)

  • Strong appreciation for art & culture

  • Knowledge and curiosity for Web 3 and Blockchain technologies 

Design & Marketing

Social Media / Design Intern:

Open to a social media and graphic design intern to work up to 10 hours a week with potential to become a full time position as our company grows. The intern will work alongside contracted design studios and marketing agencies. They will observe and adopt responsibility for a range of print and web projects, such as social media & print ads, email marketing materials, collateral material, and web graphics. Our hope is that they will help to shape our brand sensibility and that they can grow into a full time position. Qualified candidates will possess strong web design skills, be detail-oriented, self-motivated and have the ability to organize and execute tasks.


Internship Responsibilities:

  • Assist's company executives as needed

  • Works with designers and studios on promotional web graphics, surveys, flyers, banners, posters, invitations and other advertising and marketing materials as needed

  • Assists in updating new service offerings and promotional materials, event text, images, press release, sponsor logos, video etc.

 

Skills and attributes interns are expected to have:

  • Strong knowledge of open source web design and Adobe Creative Suite 

  • Marketing or Design or enrolled in a related degree program

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, strong editing skills

  • Strong knowledge of digital media software – Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe and Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and other graphic design software

  • Knowledge of video editing software – iMovie, Final Cut, or Windows Live Movie Maker is a plus

  • Energy, with a strong desire to make an impact at an early stage company
